Minutes of Board Meeting
ACBL Unit 465
Carson Bridge Club
Present: Jerry Lynn, Paul Pugsley, Gary Nitzberg, John Sill, and Cheryl Kinder.
Absent: Paul Jorgensen and Nick Pchelkin
President Gary Nitzberg called the meeting to order at 3:15 p.m.
Minutes: The minutes from the March 8th meeting were approved.
Financial Report: No financial statement was available. March and April statements will be available at the May meeting.
New Business:
Discussion was held on the fee collection for Unit games. It was MSC that only the Treasurer or designated Board member (as long as they are not the director of the Unit game) would collect the Unit game fees.
Paul P. will take 299r Sectional fliers to the Reno Sectional. Gary will provide the secretary with addresses for clubs in the surrounding area so fliers can be mailed to them.
Discussion was held concerning cell phone calls during Unit games. It was MSC that a one-half board penalty will be assessed for cell phone violations at all Unit games. This policy will be announced at the beginning of all Unit games.
Gary asked that the Board split the cost of the lunch for the meeting between Districts 20, 21 and the Reno and Carson City Units (to be held during the Reno Sectional held April 16-20) with the Reno Unit. MSC that the Unit split the cost of the lunch with the Reno Unit (not to exceed $60).
The next Unit Game will be the first Sunday in May (May 4) rather than the usually 2nd Sunday since that is Mother’s Day.
The next meeting will be held on May 3, 2008 at 3:15 p.m. at the Carson Bridge Center.
MSC that the meeting be adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
